Are you in Seoul and have an itch to get outside and have a little fun? Don’t want to travel to the mountains to play in the white stuff? No worries! The Han River park next to Ttukseom Resort Station (Line 7) can fill all your needs. Through February 20th, the park offers sledding for the whole family. Admission (and use of the snow tubes) is 8,000원 and well worth this nominal fee.
Just outside Ttukseom Resport Station (Exit 2), you'll find an amazing sledding park.
Once inside, visitors are treated to a giant incline that takes about 60 seconds to climb and about half as much to slide down. Whether you sit on the tube or go face-first, the ride is quick, but most of all, fun.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been sledding, and this park flooded my mind with memories from my youth. I remember climbing the hills around my home and zipping down on my plastic sled. As great fun as that was, I think these modern tubes are the way to go. They’re lighter and you’re able to grip the sides. The one thing I could never manage this day was staying facing front. I always wound up spinning about halfway down the hill!

Sledding, the main draw, is not the only activity on hand. There are several traditional Korean games, a 3D theater, food tents, family snow hills (for those too afraid to tackle the big one), electric racers, and a bouncy pit.

We spent 3 hours at the park and never got tired of sledding. It was a fantastic outing and one that I recommend if you’re in the Seoul Metro area.
