A walking tour featuring beautiful night views of Cheong Wa Dae will begin on Sept. 13 with the arrival of the autumn breeze. 

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation through Sept. 21 will host "Night Walk at Cheong Wa Dae" for the second half of the year. 

The edition for the year's first half was held in June.

Visitors can walk under the stars of the night sky along the former presidential compound's main building, gardens of Sojeongwon and Nokjiwon, traditional reception building Sangchunjae and official presidential residence to enjoy the deepening autumn night at the former presidential compound. 

Performances of the gayageum (traditional zither), haegeum (traditional vertical fiddle) and geomungo (traditional fretted zither) at Sojeongwon will add to the atmosphere of an autumn evening. The shows' firefly-like illuminations will unveil a new appeal of Cheong Wa Dae's autumn evening different from that of summer.

The tour will be held daily from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with the last entry at at 9 p.m. The maximum number of daily visitors is capped at 2,000.

Reservations can be made from Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. on Open Chang Wa Dae's official website  ( Admission is free and one person can reserve up to six tickets.
