Spring has definitely arrived! With this nice weather nobody wants to spend free afternoons or weekends at home! Why not going for a relaxing stroll near the lake?

Today we would like to introduce you one of the biggest and nicest public parks in Seoul, Ilsan Lake Park (
호수공원). This park is not often recommended as a tourist destination, but It’s very popular among locals; therefore it’s the right place to get a glimpse of everyday life in Korea and to relax scrolling near the lake.

There are many routs that you can follow, near the lake or under the shadow of the trees.
Plus, at the entrance you can find a place where you can rent bicycles to go around the park and enjoy the weather.

Moreover, this park offers the Musical Fountain Show during the weekends and public holidays. This is the schedule:

April - May: 20:00 – 20:40
June: 20:30 – 21:10
July - August: 20:30 – 21:10
September - October: 19:30 – 20:10


How to get there:

You can reach Ilsan Lake Park easily by subway: line 3, Jeongbalsan station (정발산역), exit 1.

Right in front of you, you will find a sign pointing at the right direction. You will need to walk for 5 minutes. As you cross the bridge at the end of the big square near the station, you will arrive in front of a world map surrounded by flags from all over the world. The park will be at 50m in front of you.
