The Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea is hosting its second traditional Asian medicine event at Seongjeonggak Pavilion in Changdeok Palace daily from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., from May 12 to 15.

A family-oriented event was held earlier on May 8, but this event aims to introduce traditional herbal medicines to international residents and visitors.

During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to try a variety of activities, including being diagnosed through their pulse and consulting with Hanbok-clad Asian medicine specialists. Other programs include learning how to wrap medicines, draw pictures from old medical texts and drink herbal teas. Up to 40 people can participate on each day of the event, and will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event is open free of charge, and admission fees to the palace are 3,000 won for adults, 1,500 won for students and free for children ages seven and under.
