Jeju Special Autonomous Province announced on May 23 that it will host two international events, including the Jeju International Bicycle Challenge, and five national events in June.

The second Jeju International Bicycle Challenge, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Jeju provincial government, will be held from June 10 to 14. The competition will be divided into two courses, a street racing course and a 28-kilometer mountain bike competition.

Around 2,000 bikers will participate in the race along Jeju’s costal roads, which will pass by some of the island’s most famous tour spots, including the Stone Culture Park and Haenyeo Museum.  There will also be discounts for participants at local accommodations and restaurants.

The same day, the second Jeju International Sports Council's baseball tournament will be held at Jeju Ora Baseball Stadium.

More national events, like the 2011 Bacchus Cup SBS Golf National Amateur Golf Team Championships, will also be held in Jeju in June.
