The 2012 K-Pop Star Entertain-Art Show, the
first art exhibition in Korea inspired by K-Pop, is scheduled to run
from June 23 through August 19 at KINTEX.
The exhibition is divided
into three different zones: Star Zone, Theme Zone, and Special Zone.
Star Zone, in particular, showcases over 110 paintings of 19 K-pop
groups, including TVWQ, Super Junior, f(x), Wonder Girls, KARA, CNBlue
and Beast.
All paintings in the exhibition use the trompe-l’oeil
(French for “deceiving the eye”) technique, creating the optical
illusion that the K-pop stars in the paintings exist in 3D.
