The 20th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will start on Oct. 1 and continue to Oct. 10. Indian film "Zubaan" will open the 20th festival in the southeastern port city of Busan this fall. 
"Zubaan," the directorial debut by recognized Indian independent film producer Mozez Singh, depicts a young man born to a poor family who suddenly questions life's important values under the mental influence of his deceased father after he achieves much awaited success. 
The festival will close with "Mountain Cry" by Chinese director Larry Yang, according to the festival.
Eight films from 10 countries, including Korean director Lee Seung-won's "Communication & Lies" are up for competition in the "New Currents" section.
