Many of those who live in Korea may know about the Airport Railroad Express (AREX), which takes passengers from Incheon Airport to the downtown area of Seoul in 53 minutes. What they don't really know is that there is one more station past Incheon Airport Station called Yongyu Temporary (Yongyu Imsi in Korean) Station that is temporarily open from April 14 to November 25 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Yongyu Temporary Station drops passengers off 50 meters away from the beach. Once arriving at Yongyu Temporary Station, visitors can easily travel to such places as Eulwangri, Wangsanri, and Seonnyeobawi beaches by a ten-minute-bus drive. From Jamjin Dock, which is ten minutes away from the station, it is also easy to travel to islands including Muuido (Muui Island), Somuuido, and Silmido by ferry.

Muuido has two beaches and two hiking trails as well as fishing spots. Hanagae Beach has bungalows on the beach, and also allows visitors to set up a tent in the sand. As the beach has a foreshore, it is worth trying to catch some clams during the daytime.
Somuuido, which is connected with Muuido by a recently completed bridge, has some quiet beaches, forests, and fishing villages. Also known as a beach where the former president of Korea, Park Jung-hee, used to visit with his family, its beaches are quieter than other beaches in Korea and allow visitors to enjoy a private vacation.
Trains that run to the temporary station depart Seoul Station at 39 minutes after every hour from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The last train from Yongyu Temporary Station to Seoul Station is at 7:25 p.m.
The fare for the trains is the same as a ticket from Seoul Station to Incheon Airport Station, 3,850 won and a return ticket for the ferry from Jamjin Dock to the islands is 3,000 won.
